I feel the open world is nice, but it’s the focused and linear levels within I enjoy the most. I feel Rocksteady really nailed the Metroidvania design in 3D: Every time I get a new gadget, I’m reminded of a section I was previously in, with areas or Riddler trophies I couldn’t quite get to, but I now can. God damn those games were fantastic! I absolutely loved both of them (City > Asylum though, come at me!). I don’t know what I was thinking… I guess I was trying to get myself caught up in the hype. Because I was going through my backlog at the time, and Arkham Knight was out, I decided to complete Arkham City and Arkham Asylum.
